Finished these the other day and saved the pics till today, not that it matter much... Anyway I hope you like them. As above these are the Plastic Warlord Games Dacian Warhost boxed set. The only thing I really don't like with plastics is the time wasted putting these together. I still have 3 more boxes to paint but I will spare you a bunch of the same. That said here they are... I did my usual AP "dip procedure" that I usually do, mainly just to get them on the table, not comp painting. Right now I am debating about devoting any further time to this blog, so let me know if this is useful to you and I should keep going or not...cheers

Congratulations on completing this great unit. Love seeing your work - don't close down the blog! If anything, just post when you feel like it; don't think of it as a burden. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice indeed!!! I not sure I'd cope with sticking all the figures together???
ReplyDeletethey look so cool, you have been a busy wee lad haven't you
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say thanks to all of you but I really wanted to thank you DeanM for the off line info we talked about...
ReplyDeleteCheers
This an execellent looking unit - I was almost tempted to try this period but dont have the time or resources.
ReplyDeleteKen
Ken thanks! :) Lol its funny you should say this, I am kinda burnt from painting all these guys, much more taxing then the Romans. I just got my 15mm Nappies out to paint on again for a bit... I do need still to paint 1 more Samaritan Cataphract unit and 3 more Dacian warrior units, so they will be back on the table in a bit to finish that army.

I for one find blogs like yours inspirational - would be great if you stuck around
ReplyDeleteAndrew, thank you very much. Even if it is just one person that I can help and I know that know I will continue. Thanks again Andrew.

Blogs are never to be a burden, use it as inspiration, follow and comment on others, put yourself about, let people know what you're doing, people like us fellow lunatic wargamers stick together even if its just for the inspiration or eye candy....
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lurker, use them for inspiration and keep in touch with the community - also great forkeeping a log of your paintin/gaming activities.
ReplyDeleteThank Ken and Angry Lurker... I was just getting a bit put out by having lots of hits on the blog, but no real interest in the way of people posting like we are here in response to what I paint... Good or Bad...
ReplyDeleteCheers
Great looking Dacian unit - 40 figures per unit is very impressive. I only go with 32!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Warlord Sarmatians to add some extra "punch" to your Dacian army?
I'm with the others - I enjoy your blog and hope you decide to keep it going
Miles
Your Dacian warband looks great! I like a mix of figures and the Foundry Dacian infantry are really excellent(Perry sculpts?)and you don't have to put them together...
