Well I had forgotten that I had these guys mounted, primed and ready to paint, but I found them yesterday in my pre-painting storage area I have for mini's that have been cleaned up, mounted, primed and ready for paint. Anyway I decided to paint these guys up as the 4th French Hussars as I really like that color scheme. I also have some other French Hussars that are Essex I believe and with the later style cylindrical shako's that I will be painting up as well. I have not figured out which unit I will make them but I am thinking either the 2nd, the 3rd or the 6th Hussars. They just have their base colors on them with no details so far. Anyway here are the 4th...

This is looking to be a nice unit; I plan to paint up some Perry Hussars as the 9th. I always liked the light blue contrasted by the scarlet pelisses. I also want to paint either the 7th or 8th - the red and green compliment each other nicely too. Oh, and they were all good fighting regiments to boot. Dean
ReplyDeleteMan your not going to miss place those puppies on the battle field looking great. Hey started looking at the 10mm ruskies there's just to much so and i don't know all the makers so might just paint them all and then sell as an army.
ReplyDeleteYea they are bright, but the colors I used were just Foundry Scarlet and reaper blue. when you add yellow to that which you will see in the update pictures, they really stand out. Remember they were HUSSARS! LOL little peacocks if you ask me...
ReplyDeleteDean I will have to look into them, I only have really good plates on the first through the sixth.
ReplyDeleteCheers...
